Running on Rice... Cookers

I’m sure many of you have heard of rice cookers. Great. So what, they cook rice. Why would someone want to talk about a home appliance that only cooks rice? Better yet, why are rice cookers perfect for runners who want to eat healthy? Here is a rice cooker that can help with healthy living. But, what does it do? A lot. Here are four reasons to own one:

1. Cook your favorite meats or proteins!

Meat? Yes. Really. This rice cooker has the capacity to cook chicken, beef, fish, eggs and more. This device has the ability to either use the slow cook, smart steam, or the quick rice functions to cook your favorite proteins from their raw state. This is not a joke. It’s the real deal!

2. Cook your favorite carbohydrates and other foods, not just rice!

Rice, pasta, beans, vegetables, quinoa, potatoes, and mostly anything else one could think of. The smart steam and quick rice functions allow this appliance to steam your vegetables perfectly using the smart steam tray inside, or cook your pasta, quinoa or beans just the way you like it.

3. Reheat any food previously cooked!

This speaks for itself, but the ability for runners to reheat their favorite meals is a must in our busy lives.

4. Has a delay timer that can have your food cooked right after your run!

Not many of us have our own cooks at home where our food can be cooked and ready to go right when we come back from a long run or hard workout. Sounds like a big problem right? This device is the solution. It’s simple to use. All you do is set the time you want it to start cooking and it has your food ready for you right when you want it. It’s like your own personal chef.

With the ability to cook almost anything imaginable, this becomes an appliance any runner could use. For full recipes, or a little further inspiration to check out Aroma’s recipe booklet!

  1. Great tip. Seems like an easy solution for any busy person to eat healthy. I downloaded the recipe book to see the types of meals you can prepare. Have you tried any?

  2. Yes I have. It works very well. I have been able to cook the Easy Cheezy Chicken, a BBQ flavored chicken, steam vegetables very easily, and cook pasta in it which is not one of the recipes listed in that booklet. I'm looking forward to trying the other recipes in this booklet too. If you try it out, let me know how you like it!
